Gunthos Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 I bought one about 3 years ago, used it maybe 3 or 4 times, it sits in my tackle box (Spro popping frog maybe). It looks almost mint. Am I going to one day say, my, what a perfect place to throw my frog, only to have it fall apart or sink? Also, my son took some of his Senkos out of the bag and they are in a compartment for 3 or so years. The others are in the bag, zipped, in the bottom of the tackle box. Are the 'exposed' Senkos no good anymore? What if the others all got used, up, switch to a hard lure? Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 11, 2019 Global Moderator Posted January 11, 2019 The leg skirts might get gummed up or the hooks may rust, but they won't just fall apart for no reason. The senkos will be fine as long as they're dry and not stored with a hook in them. If they get used up you're not going to have much choice but to switch baits? 1 Quote
Jaderose Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 I actually did have a smaller Pad Crasher Popping frog that I tied on early this summer that I hadn't thrown in a very long time. I give it a cast and the legs disintegrated. Guess what? I threw it anyway and it wound up being one of my most productivd top water lures of the summer. It was very squirrely in the water and would raise a ruckus. I wound up MAKING 3 more. I like them quite a bit. They act like a spook you can throw in the muck or in lily pad fields Quote
