I like the 832 on spinning reels and PP on casting reels due to it being a little stiffer. 832 is pretty limp stuff which is what I look for in a line for a spinning reel. 1 Quote

I am assuming that you are shopping 10-15 pound braid for spinning set up. If so Sufix 832 will be better choice with it being an 8 carrier braid while regular Power Pro is a 4 carrier braid. 8 carrier braids are better for spinning set ups since they lay on the spool easier for spinning set ups. No doubt Power Pro starts out stiff & gets limper, I don't wanna wait on that! I don't want too stiff or too limp, I want an in-between but more to limper side. I'm flipping-n-pitching-n-punching heavy Texas Rigs & Jigs in dense cover. I like keeping a certain amount of tension on your line while at the same time keeping a certain amount of slackness in my line. 832 Superline is that blend ? Quote

I use both hi-vis mono and braid when float and drift fishing steelhead, depending on temp. I've had braid freeze so when the temps drop I switch to Big Game in the Solar Collector color. It makes it much easier to see where my bait is, but I do run 2 to 3ft worth of 6lb fluorocarbon. 1 Quote

Have compared those two against red, green, and smoke on my waters and seen no difference in quantity or quality of fish, so I now go with the easiest line to see, as I believe that's a distinct advantage. 4 Quote

I've fished braided Cotton, Dacron, Micron, Suture Material (Silk), Micro Dyneema®, Kevlar, & Spectra. Cotton, Dacron, & Micron were solid white or speckled. Caught fish on all of em. Suture Material (silk) was black but flat shaped. I've tried all the reds, yellows, oranges or whatever don't really care one way or the other. The difference in stiffness I guess I use 50-65# test not 8-10# test. 1 Quote

I've never had tip-wrap with 20#PP...I doubt I'll have it with the 50# Quote
