Around my house we're looking at -30 and where I work we're looking at -45. There's an area in SW Michigan in Mark Zona's neck of the woods that's looking at almost -60! Oh man, that's just not right...My fingers are crossed for you guys. Stay safe my friend. Quote

Tues -9, Tues Night -29, Wed -16, Wed Night -29 Then near or over 30 by the weekend. Our temps have been like a bouncing ball all winter. I see you are from Minnesota. Very good muskie, walleye, and smallmouth bass fishing in your state but the weather is terrible there at this moment in time. From what I read Minnesota is one of the states getting hit the hardest with life threatening cold weather. Minneapolis is -25 degrees Fahrenheit at this moment with a wind chill of -50 degrees Fahrenheit. The next 7 day forecast is not looking good either. Also read that many Mid Western states are getting record cold weather now that some meteorologist are calling ''the coldest winter in a generation''. I like fishing up north for northern species but I will not visit with the terribly cold weather you guys are having now. 12 hours ago, TnRiver46 said: Well at least we got to see a little bit of pretty snow Looks gloomy. Minneapolis Saturday forecast says 39 degrees but that is still very cold weather. Besides it can drop back down to where it is now next week. You can always go ice fishing for some of those big muskies and walleye you have in your state. Quote

For Jan-Feb, anything above freezing is a heat-wave. I'll take it. I went ice-fishing once years ago (I was a teen and I'm closing on 60 now)...never again. 2 Quote

A-Jay Wow we're actually colder than you, that's probably a first. My bosses boss lives in Cadillac and said he got 20" Monday night, I think we ended up with about 8 Monday and another 3-4 yesterday. This snow was really fine so with the crazy wind the drifting is unreal! I wonder if there's going to be a Midwestern baby boom in late October? ? 2 Quote

Then years later I got into the field I'm in now. My previous company we did on call and winters like this water mains were popping like crazy and never during the day, I did that for 5 years. Thankfully now I only respond to emergencies during the day. Edited January 30, 2019 by 12poundbass Quote

Monday is a high of 47 that's a 62 degree swing or to really make it eye popping figure in the wind chill and we're talking about an 82 degree swing and it'll only be 47! ? 2 Quote
