Thanks to El Nino the winter has been pretty mild, so no sub zero temps here. The coldest I believe we've had and it was in November was 12. I know some especially our Canadian members have probably had some sub zero temps.

So here's what we'll do from now on, we'll chime in with any decent snowfall, current depth of snow, and any bitter cold temps. Since the southern boys have been getting snow they'll be able to join in for a few weeks until they start to warm up.

West Michigan is getting lake effect snow today up to 4 inches. Where I am, merely a dusting. Our winter has been really mild which I'm ok with, last winter went on forever and a day. So lets hear what ya got!

Pretty weak here!

Active  WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EST

TONIGHT for us.

Lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to
4 inches are expected.

Air Temps in the teens today, single digits over night & for tomorrow.

Wind chill will make it feel quite a bit colder.

Plan on slippery road conditions,
including during the evening. In addition, some
reductions to visibility are likely. Winds gusting as high as
35 mph will cause patchy blowing and drifting snow.

As noted in previous correspondence ~ "Lake Effect" snow predictions can & do often vary widely ~

NW Ohio (I'm on the boarder of Michigan) we have are first accumulation of snow today a whooping 1/8". Temps been in the 40s and 50s with night lows in the upper 30s. Still have thawed waters I was fishing Saturday. A cold font came in last night and knocked temps to 30s and lows in the upper teens and lows 20s for the next few days then back up into the 40s and 50s by next week's end. I'm loving this mild winter so far.

A mild winter in the Northern Capital region of NY. I actually saw my lawn up until January.

It has snowed here the last two nights for total of 6 inches of snow. It then rained today to make it a soupy mess.

It's Going to snow again tonight. Nothing like getting up at 4am to clear the driveway before getting ready for work.

Identical temps to what we have here in southern Indiana. We had about 1 inch of snow around thanksgiving but only rain besides that

Richmond, Virginia here.

Will let you know.

At this time, the TV weatherman is calling for between 3 to 8 inches of snow.

Parry Sound, Ontario. We’ve had a milder winter here so far ( fine by me), it’s really been up and down with the temps. Often it’s -10 to -20C one day then up to a couple degrees above freezing with rain/sleet then right back down. It’s been above freezing the last couple days but now it’s supposed to drop for at least a week or so with nighttime lows dropping below -20C and some pretty nasty wind chill. Got more snow in November than the last month, which is odd for here as we normally get dumped on big time in December from our snow factory, Georgian Bay. Definitely not a great winter around here for snowmobilers and ice fisherman, I do enjoy both of those pastimes but I would much rather launch the boat, so I’m good with a less than “ideal” winter wonderland, especially after last years never ending winter.

St. Louis here. Up until now we have had one major snow back on Nov. 15.  I think we had something like 3 or 4 inches but I can't remember.  Other than that we have had dustings.  Friday night into Saturday we are suppose to have a "major winter event".  I have heard we could get anywhere between 3" to 6", or from 6" to 10".

Yikes. We knew the mild winter wouldn't last forever. Today is the first day this winter (I believe) we haven't made it out of the teens for a high.

Yea - you know what it's like.

Temps in the kennel over night dipped below 20 for the first time this season.

When it plummets down to single digits (and below), the dogs sleep inside & my house starts getting real small . . .

Last I heard we have had 1.1 inches of snow since winter started. I really don't want to catch up to you. We are supposed to get some starting tonight. I hope it goes somewhere else.

I think that's our total for the year So far. By now we should have 40-50 inches.

My snow puppy is no more, he's been softened by my wife. These guys as you probably know are built for mountains and zero degrees. Not Hank!

Winter has arrived. They are saying we could have around a foot of snow when this storm ends. Some places could have more.

And where is that snow now.... The good thing about snow in the south is it never lasts long but up here snow just piles up. Then comes the thaw and we go from a white landscape to gray and slush everywhere.

Out in the country we call the thaw (usually March) mud season.

Well it looks like winter is quickly moving in. We got freezing drizzle today, school was cancelled. Friday night we're looking at around 5 inches and a high of 12 Sunday. Then the prediction for the end of next week 10 inches for us and up to 28 inches for @A-Jay! Of course this is only predictions at this point and anything can happen over the next 10 days, but jeez that's a ton of snow.

Went into town today to 'stock up' - haven't had a good dumping like this one yet this season.

Expect to lose power  . . . hope it's not too long.

Always blows my mind what 2 inches an hour looks like.

Seems it should be 'louder' but it's actually eerily quiet.

Bring it on . . .I still have plenty of reels to clean.

btw - I think you're going to get more than me on this one . .

Good Luck
