Bps speed shad vs Keitech

Was wondering how the Bass Pro speed shad stacks up against the Keitech Swing Impact Fat in terms of swimming action, head roll and tail thump. The Strike King version seems to be a much thicker and stiffer plastic and doesn't have as much tail thump in my opinion as the keitech. Anyways, got some bps gift cards for Christmas and was wondering if they performed like the Keitech, better or worse. Thanks guys. Any input on the Jackall rhythm wave and Biospawn exoswim is welcomed also.

Strike Kings attempt to copy Keiteck fails when it comes to the swimming action. Ive used both and stuck with keiteck. Strike king seems more durable,but dont catch as many fish in my opinion. Abottle of mend-it will go along way in getting your moneys worth from kieteck as they are alot softer. Remember, to ALWAYS rig them perfectly straight, to get the best swim out of them.

The BPS one's are so so. I like using them when I go pond hopping and don't want to use my expensive Keitechs on fish that would likely bite whatever I threw. 

 

I have had times where the Rhythm Wave outfished my buddy who was throwing Keitechs. As with everything in fishing, you're better off having different options and seeing which one the fish prefer that day.

Nothing really compares to the Keitechs they are at the top. Tried all listed so far and more. Wait for sales and buy the best in the paddle tail category.

The BPS and SK versions are not that good. 

 

Another good alternative to the Keitech's are the Reins Rockvibe's. Everything else is pretty...mehhhh.

I've used them. They're fine as trailers for stuff like swimjigs, especially in the warmer months. When the water is colder I stick with Keitech's though. Action is definitely better and the difference gets more noticeable at slower speeds.

I’ve noticed that certain sizes of the BPS model swim better than other sizes.

Boil the cheapies...  helps a lot.  I like the bps/strike king for chatterbait trailers

I have tried the Exoswim and no luck so far.  I like the Keitechs but I have had better luck with the Heart Tail Shad from GYCB (they're not worth the regular price though).

I just ordered a couple packs of the BPS baits. They were on sale and I had a coupon. Some nice colors

I’m going to echo what pretty much everyone else has said.

I started using the Keitech’s 2yrs ago and have since tried Strike King’s & BPS and they’re not even comparable.

The Keitech’s are just so soft and run straight with a perfect tail thump. I’ve also never had an issue setting the hook running a Keitech with an Owner Weighted Beast Hook w/Twistlock.

Are the Keitech’s pricey, Yes. Do they catch fish, Absolutely; and for that very reason is why I can pay more for them.

This. These are money. Dunno why, they’ve caught me more fish than the Keitech’s. They’re the only ones that have outfished them, though. And I appreciate the price on em.

What size Keitechs are you all using, and what head. I've got a new 734C rod I plan to throw spinnerbaits/buzzbaits and small hollow body swimbaits on.

I only use Kietechs these days when I am fishing them almost weightless with just a pair of nail-weights for balance.  Their slow wiggle is lost imho when you get much weight on them, for everything else I prefer the more durable SK version.

3.8" fats mostly with 1/4oz swimbait head. 

1/4oz Trokar Boxer jig sharpest hook out there very stout hook as well no flex like my owners inshore swimbait hooks.

I generally use the 4.8's along with an Owner Beast Weighted Twistlock when I'm fishing the lakes. When I'm on the river i am using the 3.8's rigged with an Owner Pivot Head. Both of these setups flat out catch fish.
