Ksam1234 Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 So I live in western New York and usually around this time we have 20 degree temps in the day and 2 feet of snow everywhere but this year , this year is different ! Yesterday was 50 degrees and sunny. Some places I fish have the problem of it has ice on it but only a 1/4 inch thick or less so you can’t break it. One small pond I have permission to fish though is wide open! Water temps around 39 so I just had to go out. Fished for about 4 hours with one bite but man was it all I have wanted. The feeling of a fish fighting back was amazing. Got it on the megabass jerkbait. 14 Quote

Just being out able to fish was awesome but to actually catch a fish just made it perfect ? i cant wait for spring Quote
Super User Deleted account Posted January 9, 2019 Super User Posted January 9, 2019 Congrats! That's pretty good for up those parts. We've been lucky with the weather here as well only more so. I caught a limit on the 31st and again on the first, and it's been consistently good. One day last week was crazy good. It's been a while since it's been like this in January. Burn more coal!!! 1 Quote
