I seem to have run into a problem I ordered new spool high speed bearings for a ORGIN A fishing reel but I can’t seem to pop out the bearing on the side cover I have already removed the bearing on the spool but the side cover bearing will not come out I have already removed the retainer clip but nothing seems to help any ideas what might help?

Dental picks work well used through the center hole.

Yea, that could help. Also could try to push the bearing inward. The bearing could be kinda stuck coming out at an angle. Try pushing back in and try again pulling out. I'm successful just using a toothpick through the bearing's inner race. The problem with this is you are trying to pull it at an angle. So moving around with the pic can help find the sweet spot that allows the bearing to be leveraged out.

Does this reel open beetle-wing style? (This makes it a lot harder to work on).

If so, can you remove the side plate from the reel by removing the side plate from the hinge?

Bend a bobby pin end into a short "L" to fit into the bearing and pull.  If need be grip the bobby pin end with pliers and pull.  I have also bent the screw driver end on the reel wrench, which comes with a reel in to an "L" for tough to remove bearings.  That end is small and fits in the bearing inner diameter.

I just gave up I’m keeping the stock bearings on that reel and I’m just changing them to another similar model 13 has but it seems that now I am having problems with removing the spool shaft pin that holds the bearing in place last time I removed on the other reel one side had a small and thick side but I’m not sure if this one has the same they seem very similar and have tried to tap them out but nothing seems to work
