Cole Foster Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 Caught on the river so I didn't have my scale/measuring board. Any estimates on the weight of this fish? 2 1 Quote
Super User soflabasser Posted January 1, 2019 Super User Posted January 1, 2019 Nice river smalllie. It would be best to bring a scale to get a more accurate weight than guessing it from a picture. You can also use the following formula for a close estimate; Length X Length X Girth / 1200 = estimated weight of bass. You can use fishing line to measure the length and girth. 1 Quote

Super User Darren. Posted January 1, 2019 Super User Posted January 1, 2019 Welcome aboard! Maybe a couple pounds plus. Nice smallie. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 1, 2019 Global Moderator Posted January 1, 2019 Hard to tell with a fish that close to the camera but going off what I'm guessing the length is, I'd say in the 3lb range. It's a very pretty fish for sure. Quote
SWVABass Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 Beautiful winter fish, I’d guess in the 3-4lb range. Nice fish no matter what ?? Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted January 2, 2019 Super User Posted January 2, 2019 Pretty smallie. Looks like a 3lb fish. Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted January 24, 2019 Super User Posted January 24, 2019 I haven't caught a ton of SMB here in OK, but my biggest is 2.11 and I think yours is real close if not bigger. However, I would recommend buying a set of scales, I want to know for sure what a fish weighs. Quote
LxVE Bassin Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Right around 3 pounds give it take. Quote
