Been looking all around for a 150$ pitching and sometimes flipping rod. I think the ikos might be the one. Any feedback will help. My reasons are good reviews, smaller business, American made, and a good warranty. Which model should I get for pitching 1/2 Oz jigs in laydowns, moderate grass (varied types), some light lilypads (and sometimes moderate to heavy), and sometimes rock as well. Thanks and have a nice day!

Hello

I'm not familiar with that rod. Here's my 2 cents on other options if interested.

Dobyns Sierra Extra fast 7'3" Mag Heavy on sale at TW right now for $119.

I also like the Fury version of this rod but it has a slightly slower action.

Both are very nice.

Ikos is a well respected rod model from a solid manufacturer.  I'd get either the Hammer or Promise (tough choice)  Hammer is quite a bit more stout, and even though they are both rated as fast,  the Hammer feels a bit faster also.

Half oz. Jig plus beefy trailer (think Rage Craw), may want to go with Hammer.
