Iluvsmallies Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 So last year my sweet little daughter accidentally snap my favorite sq. bill rod in the car door. So I’m going to build another one to replace the existing quantum kvd series. I was looking at the rod geeks S glass series and wondering if anyone has experience with these blanks? If there are other blanks that you prefer over the rod geeks I would love to hear more opinions. Thanks guys for the input! Quote
Super User Angry John Posted December 29, 2018 Super User Posted December 29, 2018 I seem to prefer a faster action on squarebills and i use a heavier rod for lipless cranks. I just had a rod built that was amazing on the phoenix x series blanks. Their rods get great reviews with the only gripes comming in with things like handle length and the like with that being zero issue if your building yourself. The x-10 was directly compared to the steez flexlite medium, with very high ratings. I just had a x-13 built that may be a little heavier than your looking for. http://www.mudhole.com/custom-rod-building-blanks/rod-building-blanks-brands/phenix-rod-building-blanks/phenix-crankbait-series The x12-b or x10 which is 7" and a top end of one ounce should get you right where you want to be.... spoonplugger1 Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 Seeker SBS706 S-glass blank, it has a long history of happy customers for all moving baits. Lots of info out there. Quote
