This is my pack I use frequently.

4 cases for hard baits:

Topwater

Lipped Crankbaits

Lipless Crankbaits (also holds my swim baits)

Jerkbait

I have 2 other small drilock cases for terminal tackle ect. in the top and have some space.

The 1 side is for line and the other side is pocketed with not much in it.  The sides carry all my hard cased plastics (keitechs rage craws ect)

I carry all my soft plastic in another Deep box

I want to find a way to put a 3700 spinnerbait/jig box in there and cannot find a good way to store my crankbaits without removing items.

Is there a 3700/3750 box with great crankbait storage?  Or do you have a better thought of storage for me?

I tend to do all sorts of fishing- shoreline-through woods- on my boat- on someone else's boat. So I like having a lot of gear with me without having to change much.

Maybe open core 3700 boxes? Put hook bonnets on your trebles, or use rubberbands and link them together so they're not snagging other lures.

Definitely like them being sorted by depth/color/bill type but thanks for the suggestion

I kinda get around that by marking the treble bonnets with a sharpie for the depth, and for color the lures kind of stay in place in an open core when packed with other lures and carried in a flat position like your Shimano pack. For spinnerbaits you could put them in heavy duty plastic bags since they lay flat and put them in the side pocket which you don't have much stuff in, it'd work but wouldn't be as nicely organized as it would in case.

I have the Daiwa tactical fishing pack but it uses 3600's and they lie flat too which I love. What I do is put together 5x 3600 kits before I go out fishing to cover what I think they will be hitting on. I try not to be too redundant in my presentations and try to cover topwater, bottom contact, and stuff in between, dependent though on time of year and body of water.

So am I reading this correctly that you carry a 3700 box of just topwater baiit, etc? Is the box tightly packed with baits or do you have it one bait per section. If it is one bait per section using rubber bands to hold the trebles together as someone else suggested would allow you to easily store multiple pairs per section.

To me that sounds like a lot of baits for a day trip, perhaps 1/2 box topwaters, 1/2 box of lipless, etc. Also I would think about what is packed now and when was the last time you used it? You might find that you never use some baits.

If you don’t want to cut back, at some point your only option is a bigger bag. Do take a look at the plano 4700 double decker box, might work for you.

I use a 3700 box for my cranks, I think I have around 40 or so in there right now.  I have anywhere from 1 to 3 lures in each, I use rubberbands to keep the hooks from tangling.   I like to sort mine by type and depth too.

Yeah that is what I do.  I have been trying to find the box that had diagonal slits (I think) in it for each bait to cut down on the band usage.

I definitely could thin it out but that one time when I want something I am going to be so mad at myself lol.

If you are referring to the crankbait box made by Plano, and I'm sure some others........I had one just for that purpose.  They keep them untangled but do not hold a lot.

I fish in some of my buddies boats every now and then. I got a box that I made up when I fish with them. As you can see it is just a simple old fashion tackle box. I rarely need anything else. Of course I still have other boxes/bags of baits in my boat but 90% of the time I just look in my little tackle box for the bait I need. I think sometimes we complicate things by having too many choices.

You would cringe at my deep 3700 box of cranks I take for a weeks vacation. In some compartments I will have over 20 baits in it. The rubber bands do make it really easy to get a bait out of that mess.

How about the Lure Lock boxes or the retro kits they sell? Plano used to sell a cds box, but one only came with 12 angled and 24 straight dividers. Found this on amazon, but not planos website so they may have been discontinued.

Here’s my set up and it’s really functional for me. The spinnerbait boxes fit perfectly in the side pockets. It’s a Cabela’s Fisherman series bag.

I have 2 Berkley soft bait binders for all my soft plastics as well although I can always throw a few in the top and back mesh pockets of this bag if I’m bank fishing with just a couple of rods.

Fisherman series at Cablea’s

Bag comes with 6 3700s I bought an extra to make 7. Ones they come with aren’t great but I’ll replace as they break.

I got 2 of these: Plano Elite Spinnerbait Box in the 3607 size and they fit into the big side pockets.
