Shane Y Posted December 25, 2018 Posted December 25, 2018 We're having a hard time right now as a family. My grandmother came home last night on hospice care, then about 2 this morning my mom went into the hospital with her tongue swelling up. She's now in the ICU and the doctors believe she's having an allergic reaction to her medication. We need all the prayers we can get so if you have an extra minute please send one up for my family. Merry Christmas everyone, hope Santa brought you guys all the fishing gear you wanted. 2 Quote

Shane Y Posted December 25, 2018 Author Posted December 25, 2018 Thank yall. Things are looking a little better for mama as of a couple of hours ago. Just a bad deal on Christmas. We are a real tight family and this was a heavy blow all at once. We really appreciate the thoughts and prayers. I tell you what to.....dont ever underestimated the strength of a woman. My wife has became a real super hero during all this. My grandmother needs a lot of hands on care and my God if it wasnt for my wife I don't know what I'd do.... 1 1 Quote

Shane Y Posted December 27, 2018 Author Posted December 27, 2018 Big Thanks to everyone . Mama is doing better, they still have her in a state of unconsciousness because her throat is still a little swollen, but her vitals have been good this whole time. I believe in prayer and if you guys dont mind keep sending them up. We need all we can get right now. Quote
Shane Y Posted December 28, 2018 Author Posted December 28, 2018 Good news!! they woke mama up today and removed her breathing tubes. She broke down when we walked in and cried and cried. She was so confused that she thought no one had been there to see her. Someone has been every day.... she's still real loopy from medication but doctors said she's coming out of ICU in the morning and will be evaluated over the weekend just to be sure. She's a very strong willed woman and they said she kept amazing them by waking up and trying to communicate when she she shouldn't have even been able to move.... I told them I wouldn't have been surprised if she hopped up and walked out. She has always been that way. Yall keep sending those prayers up please and I'll keep you posted. Thanks. 1 Quote
Super User Log Catcher Posted December 29, 2018 Super User Posted December 29, 2018 Hope she continues to improve. Hope they will figure out what caused this so it doesn't happen again. Quote
