Dens228 Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 Any opinions on the above listed rod, H/Moderate fast? My thoughts are a rod for my frogging needs that I can use for a couple of heavier swimbaits I'm planning on introducing into my arsenal. Quote
Super User WRB Posted December 22, 2018 Super User Posted December 22, 2018 It's rated Moderate action because it a swimbait rod....really a swimbait rod with a standard handle rate for 1/2-2 oz lures. What we have here is a frog rod that can be used for several lures, like Irod IRG 754 F. Tom Quote

I have that rod, you could get away with it for softer frogs but it would definitly not be my choice for a dedicated frog rod. It makes a great deep cranking rod though, that´s what i use mine for, heavier crankbaits and medium sized swimbaits. Quote
Matt_3479 Posted December 25, 2018 Posted December 25, 2018 I fish an imx pro 884 twfr 7’4” heavy fast action for all my frogs and love the rod but don’t think I would want anything slower that’s for sure. If it’s a true moderate action then I would probably pass on it for frogs Quote
