pauldconyers Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 I've been looking for some plastic treble hook covers for lipless cranks, crankbaits and such. Probably size 2 and 4. Haven't really seen any locally, anyone have some they like I can buy online somewhere? Quote
Junger Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 I bought these off Amazon. They grip the shank well, and they have the circular tab piece that makes them easy to remove off the hooks. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B017I9JF1A/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 1 Quote
Steve Bowman Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Hey, try, and I'm not being funny or insulting, Zebco, Northland orshakespeare sites. Or some of the older tackle companies. South Bend, etc. or you could make some depending on the size. Hard rubber foam from a craft store or Walmart. I buy those hearing foam plugs at the drugstore, Walmart, Kmart or Target. You can reuse them a few times on each end and the around the outside. One per hook or two for the small trebles. Hint, use the on the smaller trebles and as they get worn out you cand use them for the next size up. The harder foam crafty stuff comes in different colors if you need them to. Be blessed and Merry CHRISTmas. Steve Quote

They seem to have a really variable price so it pays to look around before you buy, sometimes ebay or even jdm sites will have them for very cheap. 1 Quote
Smalls Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Bass pro and Cabela’s have them. Or you can order them from Amazon. I keep em in all my baits, so I can throw them all in an open 3600 box and not have to worry about them tangling. I can fit about 25 in a box this way. Quote
tholmes Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 Barlow's, Jann's Netcraft, and Lure Parts Online all carry them. Tom Quote
BigAngus752 Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 Another vote for Amazon. These work well and actually kind of gently "snap" onto the hook, but are still easy to remove. They don't fall off like some of the cheaper versions. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074ZN38K2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Quote
rtwvumtneer6 Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 I've been using, and liking this ones from owner. They snap into place and don't fall off. I generally only use them on the lures I have tied on, so 1 pack in a couple sizes does me just fine. Also colored by size so easy to grab what you need. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Owner_Treble_Hook_Safety_Caps/descpage-OHC.html Quote
