Since she is now too old for you I'll take her fishing. I didn't say too old, its just that its a little creepy thinking about young Gundog's wall and the ages of those ladies today. Kind of like looking at a black and white photo of your grandmother in a bikini. 1 Quote
Super User Paul Roberts Posted December 21, 2018 Super User Posted December 21, 2018 Our UPS driver, Lonnie. I'm tempted to order things just to talk hunting and fishing with him. He's "done the work". We may actually get out one of these days. 2 Quote

He is definitely a talented freshwater fisherman in Northern waters but I would not consider him the best multi species angler around. There are anglers that have caught over 500 species of fish which is very impressive since most anglers have not even caught 100 species of fish in their lifetime. These multi species fishermen travel the world to catch fish most fishermen have not even heard of. Quote
Super User Columbia Craw Posted December 22, 2018 Super User Posted December 22, 2018 John. I fished with my friend John for 30 years. We fished a lot together. His wife died from ALS several years ago just when she was suppose to retire. John kind of drifted away I guess. I tried to stay in touch. I haven't seen him in a year and have not shared a boat with him in over four years. I would like to fish with John. 3 Quote

Bass, pike, walleye and crappie. That's all I care about. Quote
Super User gim Posted December 22, 2018 Super User Posted December 22, 2018 I'm kinda surprised that no one responded that they'd like to fish with their own WIFE! Then again, maybe I'm not surprised. Quote
BigAngus752 Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 1. My son 2. My wife 3. Bill Dance 4. Scott Martin (he's hilarious and I think he would just be a blast to be around) 5. Scarlett Johansson (my wife said if I get the chance I should "go for it". I have a great wife!) Quote

At least she lets me go fish and 'allows' me to eat my catch when I'm in the mood for some broiled bass/trout. Quote

SC53 Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 My wife is my fishing partner. She can throw a baitcaster with the best of them. Fished with Shaw in a Redman tournament in ‘85 on Kissimmee chain. Great guy. My top picks would be KVD, Rick Clunn and Zona. 1 Quote

Logan S Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 I'm lucky, I've already spent a day on the water with my #1 choice in the fishing world . In the real world, I'd love to take my dad out fishing even though he's not a 'serious' fisherman like I am...He taught me how to fish, but being a Navy Pilot on many deployments, he was unfortunately not able to continue fishing with me a whole lot growing up. We both fall victim to "things are soooo busy" these days so we never get out on the water when we see each other. Going to be a new year's resolution for me I think. 2 Quote

She backs my fishing 100% and is a blessing. I've tried to improve on hitting that silly white ball so as to give her a go once in awhile so life is good. 1 Quote
Hog Basser Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 My older brother (who I lost back in 2001) who taught me to bass fish. He used to set the hook so hard it would almost flip our small boat (scamp). We went on a fishing trip once on a reservoir that held a lot of 5 pound bass when I was a teenager and he was about 21. The reservoir was loaded with gar as well and I caught one. While trying to get my hook out, the gar twitched and lodged the hook in my finger then twitched again and ripped a nice slice through my finger. He was getting tons of action with the bass, so he just dropped me at the bank to drive myself back to the house to get bandaged up. I hauled it there and back as quick as I could to get back in on the action with him. He is the reason I love to bass fish and I wish I could spend just one more day on the water with him. Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted February 11, 2019 Super User Posted February 11, 2019 1. My Pawpaw Jake (passed) 2. Uncle Doug (passed) 3. My best friend Shawn who I fish with 99.9% of the time anyway. I have ONE best friend and that is all I really need. He has done more to help me out than I could possibly ever repay him for. I know someday we won't be able to fish together so I look forward to going with him when we can. Quote
