I broke a rib on my left side so I am unsure when I can make it out.

Ouch. I've broken ribs on 3 occasions, makes sneezing, coughing, getting up from chairs or even breathing tough. I found that wearing a tight fitting PFD around helped a lot. Feel better soon.

I too can't do the 25th, as a matter of fact, work has me tied up through mid June. I'll be lucky to sneak out a time or 2 between now and then.

Anyone want to do some kayak fishing on the Potomac next Friday between point of rocks and Brunswick? I have a pilot and can help with the shuttling. This is my first time on the Potomac and would prefer to do it with someone experienced. Happy to buy lunch/beer/both ?

I would love to but the best I can do is a solid “maybe” until Tuesday night when I will know for sure.  I have never yaked the Potomac before so I am no help with “experienced” however.

I'll take a solid maybe. ? At least it's safer with two unexperienced Potomac yakkers lol. From what I read, the water between PoR and Brunswick is plenty calm and holds lots of SMB and Muskies. Would love to launch at Brunswick, float to PoR and shuttle back. If that's not an option or I am stuck going alone, I am going to put in at PoR and paddle as far as I can upstream and then float back. Either way....I'm going unless the weather sucks. Feel free to DM me if you want to trade contact info. My name is Brad btw.

Has anyone fished Deep creek? Vacationing there next month and will be shore bound.

Tough place to fish period and even worse if you are shore bound. I have fished there for 20+ years so I would recommend 3 different places all close to one another. There is a state launch ramp, if you are standing at the ramp the shoreline between the ramp and the first cove to the left is good. That cove on the left has some docks that are state owned and the DNR parks their boats there that is number 2. Further in that cove there is a bridge and that has always been a good spot for me.

I was there last month, and admittedly, It was mostly a spend time with the Mrs trip, but I didn't do anything to write home about. It's big clear water, so a boat, or good intel would help a lot. Did get to go all around MD and PA while there, saw The Franklin LLoyd Wright house, the Flight 93 Memorial, The waterfalls on the Yough, The highest point in MD, and some great outdoors. Also hit a bunch of smaller places on the way back, and caught a few as well.

Reminds me of herding cats. Junger will get his cigar/ fishing time in a couple weeks.

Step one set a date and location. Step two show up regardless if any one else does.

Step three smoke cigars and fish. Take lots of pictures and make those who did not show jealous.
