Popmax/Vision 110 Colors

I've got some DSG reward money and a gift card, so I am going to treat myself to some sweet, sweet Megabass lures. What colors do you guys recommend for Popmax and Vision 110? Thanks!

GP Pro Perch, Twilight Secret, & Northern Secret are a few of the better/consistent producers here.

 

 

And the Perch Popmax has been like magic for me . .

I have a few, I went simple and and purchased the white python, G.G. bass and black orochi,  I have caught more on the white python than the others.

I have the pumpkinseed Popmax and it does pretty well for me. I like Popmax but prefer some of the other high dollar poppers over it. I also like the Sexy AYU vision 110s but I’ve caught fish on every color of 110 I’ve ever thrown so it’s more of a personal preference for me. It has to be my favorite jerkbait.

@A-Jay Those V110 colors look great, too bad DSG doesn't offer them. Was eyeing that Perch Popmax though! That and the Black Orochi (wonder if that's catching me more than I'll catch fish haha).

I have a 'husky jerk' box. Several of these baits are pretty old but still make it happen. 

Great baits for me; especially in super cold water.  

It's the bait I first started playing with custom 'suspending' my own baits.

It's also the first bait I deliberately over weighted to sink.  What ? 

Yup - I do this quite a bit - just don't discuss it much. 

Jerkbaits on the bottom - who knew ?

To be fair though, I do post fishing reports with pics & videos  of me, actually fishing; and catching fish. 

And I honestly do attempt to be somewhat pleasant.

Most of the time anyway.

The only thing that makes a Rico and a PopMax similar is they both are considered poppers. Other than that they are as different as two baits can be and still be in the same "category".  And, that's not a bad thing. I have quite a few of both baits. And they both catch fish. But one does NOT cancel the other out.  I will say the PopMax is way more  versatile in the ways you can fish it. And the open "gills" create very unique sounds and bubbles that drive fish crazy. But on the other hand, there is NO sound like the Rico. It's in a class of it's own.

Ok, so planning on Popmax in Gill and Black Orochi.

 

Then Vision 110 in Pro Blue and one other, but can't decide. DSG only has Elegy Bone, GG Deadly Black Shad IL, GG Threadfin Shad, GP Sexy Shad, Kohoku Reaction, Megabass Sexy Shad, and Sexy French Pearl. Can't decide if I want the Elegy Bone, Deadly Black Shad, Threadfin Shad or Kohoku Reaction. Want something that is different enough from the Pro Blue to give different looks.

? The bigger Lobina Popper is a Rio Rico. (Rio means “river” in Spanish speaking countries too.) As far as I’m concerned they can call it, “Bass River Suave Latin rapper WWII Club Owner” and I’d still throw it. That lure counts for about 90% of what I put in the boat on topwater. I use the small Rico in the streams and Rivers around here and from April to early November thats usually all I have to take with me.
