Hi, I  have a Shimano Calcutta 400 that the worm gear does not move any suggestion would be appreciated. Best repair shop for this discontinued reel?  Thanks

There is a small screw/cap that houses a 'pawl' under the  worm gear itself.

May need a new one as they eventually wear out. Super cheap part.

I'm with A-Jay. However, to quickly test it, just flip the reel over, turn the hand and see if the worm gear on the level wind rotates. If it does, and I feel it will, then the pawl is your culprit and is an easy fix. One more point, these pawls aren't very interchangeable from reel to reel, much less brand to brand, so make sure you get the right one.

Thanks for reply's. I did not explain issue very well, the worm gear or carriage screw that drives the pawl does not turn the pawl is good.
