Super User Boomstick Posted December 13, 2018 Super User Posted December 13, 2018 I finished up chemotherapy on black friday, last Friday I had a CT scan to verify that there is no lingering cancer and today I got the results. I am officially 100% cancer free as of this moment in time. That is not to say that I am out of the water yet, the chance of recurrence is the highest within the first year, drops a little during the second year and drops significantly after that, but at least I have beaten cancer in the first (and hopefully last) battle. Things are also going good at work, so hope of getting a bass boat in the next year or two is renewed! 10 Quote
Super User Sam Posted December 13, 2018 Super User Posted December 13, 2018 Congrats. What a fantastic Christmas present you received. Start dreaming about that bass boat and what equipment you want on it. Merry Christmas! 1 Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted December 13, 2018 Global Moderator Posted December 13, 2018 Congrats, welcome to the club. Almost 15 years cured for me. The scans for the first year or two can be nerve racking waiting on the results, but eventually become second nature. Life seems a little sweeter after dealing with cancer first hand doesn't it? Enjoy life like you never have before and get that bass boat. Merry Christmas 1 1 Quote

Super User MN Fisher Posted December 14, 2018 Super User Posted December 14, 2018 Late to this, but congrats to a fellow survivor. This January will be three years for me since I lost an eye to 'choroidal melanoma'. So far I've had no signs of anything else happening. Here's to hoping ALL of us have cancer-free lives ahead. 1 Quote
