So my dad likes to bring his 2 piece casting rod on our annual fishing trip and annual moose hunting trip to our hunting camp. With the amount of gear we bring the rods need to be 2 piece. Well he snapped it this year accidentally and now I was thinking of replacing it for his birthday. I don’t own any 2 piece casting rods so don’t even know what to look for. The rod needs to be upper 6’-lower 7’ range. Medium-heavy, to a lighter heavy, will be used for pike fishing northern Ontario. Any suggestions?

St. Croix Premier, Model PC66MF2. Med Fast 6'6" 2 Piece. This is my travel rod. Fantastic!

If want a more backbone (the PC66MF2 is no wimp!) there is the PC66MHF2. Med Heavy Fast.

I've got a Premier 2-piece that's been great, its a 7' ML spinning. They don't make a 7' MH 2-piece so I'd second the recommendation for PC66MHF2 if you're after good sized pike.

Check out travel rod, not 2 pieces but 4 pieces Daiwa Ardito MH 7’.

you can fine it about 100 all over internet. I’ve heard good things about it and plan to get one myself if I ever need multi pieces rod.

Kastking Perigee II $59 I have both the spinning and casting versions for when I travel

The rod is actually a 3 piece rod, comes with the handle and 2 tips, 1 medium heavy and 1 heavy. It's like getting 2 rods in 1.

You could check out Major Craft, from Japan, for sale on ebay. The Basspara series is pretty affordable.

Not as good, but still decent, Kujing from China.
