Super User the reel ess Posted December 11, 2018 Super User Posted December 11, 2018 What paint would you use to duplicate a gold War Eagle spinnerbait? Is it specific to fishing tackle or will any old hardware store metallic gold work? Thanks. Quote
JustALineWetter Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 I'd go to a hobby shop and get an enamel paint from there. Testors or Testors Model Master brands. Most hardware paints are acrylics and don't hold up as well as enamels. 1 Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted December 11, 2018 Super User Posted December 11, 2018 That paint does not exist. War Eagle uses a plated head, what you are after has been sought by others for decades. There are metallic paints out there but nothing will come close to the plated head you are trying to get. 1 Quote
Super User WRB Posted December 11, 2018 Super User Posted December 11, 2018 Take a look at Createx Quicksilver Chrome top coat #4105 at Barlows Tackle. This isn't a plating, it's paint. Tom 1 Quote
