LonnieP Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 Anyone use Smackdown braid? TW has it on sale right right now and I’m thinking about trying it. I’m not a big fan of braid but all I’ve ever used is power pro. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted December 8, 2018 Global Moderator Posted December 8, 2018 Yes, it's excellent. Better in every category than standard PP. I use it for frigging and flipping grass both. 2 Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 8, 2018 Super User Posted December 8, 2018 Smackdown is the BEST braid on the market. Uniform diameter, soft and smooth. This line is in a class of its own. 2 Quote
ratherbfishin1 Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 Ugh, I saw it for $10 on sale somewhere but didn’t get it Quote
LonnieP Posted December 9, 2018 Author Posted December 9, 2018 Thanks for the replies. Ordered a spool of 50 lb Quote
tim_kovar Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 That is my favorite braid! Super quiet and smooth through the guides, color holds up really well, and never had any breakage issues. Quote
GrumpyOlPhartte Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 @Bluebasser86: Are we allowed to say “frigging” on here? Just wondering. ? 1 Quote

GrumpyOlPhartte Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 Sorry. Being a functional illiterate I seldom catch grammar fails; however, as an ex-sailor I’m really good at recognizing salty language. 1 Quote

Id put Smackdown about number 4 on my list of braids I have used. Quote
Super User NHBull Posted December 12, 2018 Super User Posted December 12, 2018 I had to many unexplained breaks to stay with it..... At that price Hitena gets the call Quote
Chance_Taker4 Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 I was tempted to buy some to with the sale but I am a big stickler on my braid keeping its color. I hate and get very irritated when I have to color my line because the line is white. So I have been using the Vicious No Fade and haven't had an swap line in three years. If I could get that kind of color durability from Seagaur I may consider it. Quote
