Anyone use Smackdown braid? TW has it on sale right right now and I’m thinking about trying it. I’m not a big fan of braid but all I’ve ever used is power pro.

Yes, it's excellent. Better in every category than standard PP. I use it for frigging and flipping grass both.

Smackdown is the BEST braid on the market.  Uniform diameter, soft and smooth.

This line is in a class of its own.

That is my favorite braid!  Super quiet and smooth through the guides, color holds up really well, and never had any breakage issues.

@Bluebasser86: Are we allowed to say “frigging” on here?  Just wondering. ?

? I didn't even notice. No internet at the house so I do it all on the phone and have apparently autocorrect doesn't recognize the term "frogging".

Sorry. Being a functional illiterate I seldom catch grammar fails; however, as an ex-sailor I’m really good at recognizing salty language.

At 3 times the price it should be. BUT dia vs dia regular PP has better knot strength at least with palomar, SDJ and fishnfool knots.

Id put Smackdown about number 4 on my list of braids I have used.

I had to many unexplained breaks to stay with it.....

At that price  Hitena gets the call

I was tempted to buy some to with the sale but I am a big stickler on my braid keeping its color. I hate and get very irritated when I have to color my line because the line is white. So I have been using the Vicious No Fade and haven't had an swap line in three years. If I could get that kind of color durability from Seagaur I may consider it.
