Yesterday I was blessed to watch my grand-daughter till noon.  Yup....she has me wrapped....but anyway we had a few snow flakes blowing (this stuff belongs up north).  Was going to take boat out but didn't want to for a couple hours as I have to put all my stuff back in ....AGAIN...as she died on me in a tourney last sat and just got her back tues.  Anyway....don't know if there's any golfers here but thought it would do the ol diabetics good to get some more exercise so went golfing.  Was the only one there!!!!  Walked the first nine...whew and rode the second.  Was asked several times before I went....how can you golf in this weather??  I say...I like fishing in it....and golfing is ok too.  Less people...body is a little stiff...but there is clothing that keeps us warm....am blessed for sure.  Seems I don't golf any worse when it's cold!!!!

I dont golf . But there was once a time when I almost bought a golf membership so I could sneak in a 2 piece combo in a golf bag and fish the ponds. I almost did it but figured I wouldnt really be able to enjoy it with all the security and actual golfers around.

I also came up with what ( I thought ) was a fun idea. You could have a redneck golf circuit where you follow the basic rules of golf but it wouldnt be so snooty. Like you could holler right when the golfer goes to hit the ball etc. ? You  could also have a simultaneous bank fishing tournament going on ( right behind the golfers so the fishermen wouldnt get hit by the balls  ) Seems like a win-win for the community. It would attract people to golf who otherwise wouldnt be, and it would open up the choice little ponds and lakes to fishermen. You could also buy a pond fishing membership only. You could also have a golf cart race, and maybe figure out a way to work deer hunting in there. ?

I know, I know. Wishful thinking !?

Your'e in E. Tennessee arent you ? I have done a couple vacations there and loved it. went to cades cove. Seen bears, big deer etc. Fished the new river near there. Didnt catch anything but enjoyed it anyway. Have been all through the smokies, Clingmans dome etc. with the wife and grandkids. Wonderful memories from a beautiful area.

They already got that here. Its called Saturday evening golf. By that time all the golfers (not gophers) are drunk and anything goes. I don't golf but do go to the driving range just to hit a few and scope out the rich ladies. :unibrow:
