I don't have anything to add to your post, I just wanted to say hi because I'm also in central Iowa and I'm looking to get into tournament fishing next year. Kayak tournaments, though.

There is a club called the Iowa Kayak Anglers based out of North Liberty. Also if you have anybody you know under the age of 18 they could join the Iowa Youth Fishing League based out of Urbandale, Iowa. If you have any questions just let me know!
