Super User J._Bricker Posted November 30, 2018 Super User Posted November 30, 2018 Pretty much what I ask for every year, a fishing license, which is always greatly appreciated.... 2 Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted November 30, 2018 Super User Posted November 30, 2018 Since I spent over $1K on a kayak about a month ago, I just went onto Amazon Prime and put a few things it the cart and told the wife to put them under the tree or in my stocking. Quote
22RangerZ520R Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 I've got everything I want as far as equipment... I just need some more "signed permission slips" from the wife for me to go! 2 Quote
Russ E Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 did a big tackle update this last year. Don't really need anything else. All I want is open water and decent weather for christmas 1 Quote
volzfan59 Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 I always ask for gift cards, BPS, Academy, local mom and pop shop. Years ago, I asked my wife for a specific rod, and a reel from my in-laws. Afterwards, they all said "Next year we'll just get you gift cards." Asked for gift cards ever since. Quote
Kvltism Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 I asked wifey for a conquest 301A and a total overhaul on the boat.......what I’ll probably get is her understanding, support and best wishes in the fact that I’ll be spending 95% of my free time on the water. Take it when you can get it!!! Quote
Super User NYWayfarer Posted December 1, 2018 Super User Posted December 1, 2018 A trip to Florida (in February) to fish. I will be climbing the walls by then with cabin fever here in the frozen North. 2 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted December 2, 2018 Global Moderator Posted December 2, 2018 Only fishing related thing I asked for was some Plano Hydro-flo boxes. I learned a long time ago about asking for specific fishing related items. My wife's family doesn't give gift cards though because it's a lazy gift. I always thought it was the best gift because then I can go get exactly what I want! 1 Quote
rosshilk Posted December 2, 2018 Posted December 2, 2018 Santa is setting me up for deep crankin. A kvd crankbait rod 7ft 10 model as well as the new Diawa Tatula 200 for that line capacity. Quote
Super User soflabasser Posted December 3, 2018 Super User Posted December 3, 2018 I caught some shoal bass and spotted bass this weekend and hope to catch more bass before the year ends. February is a good month for big bass. You should have a good time and I suggest you do some research for a couple months before coming here to be more successful. No need to hire guide since South Florida is loaded with places you can catch bass from land. 1 Quote
Glaucus Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 My family knows not to buy me fishing gear/tackle. It's too specialized. Much better to get me giftcards to tackle shops. Quote
Mr. Aquarium Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 my gear wish list is: Dobyns champion 807, matts hammer shad, Matts meathead, Matts strong shad, and more Real Prey swimbaits. I can tell you what I'm not getting for Christmas: Dobyns Champion 807, matts hammer shad, Matts meathead, Matts strong shad and more Real Prey swimbaits 1 Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted December 3, 2018 Super User Posted December 3, 2018 I know. I want a winter warm up over my Christmas vacation. A few days in the '50s or '60s would be just fine. Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted December 4, 2018 Global Moderator Posted December 4, 2018 Santa came early for me with the new to me G3. There's something else in the works that is going to be almost perfect, I'm not counting my chickens just yet but they're getting real close to hatching. As far as the family goes, TW gift cards and an Autochart Zero line card that will come in very handy if all the chickens hatch. ? Quote
Super User DogBone_384 Posted December 4, 2018 Super User Posted December 4, 2018 Nothing. I have everything i need, except for a new PB that I’ll have to get next spring on my own. Quote
