-HAWK- Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 http://www.trackerboats.com/boat/?boat=2861 This is the boat i have been considering. after months of check craigslist and not finding anything worthwhile, i figure i mine as well purchase a new boat and be done. here is a small list of questions 1. What is the maximum weight most of you put into a 12 by 32 jon safely? 2. Being a big guy 6'3 240, would i be able to stand up and fish in the boat alone, without having to worry about going for a swim? 3. I will be mostly using the boat to fish private community lakes and canals. But say i want to take it out every once in a while to a larger lake that allows gas powered boats, do i have to worry about getting fliped over everytime one flies by? Quote
Olebiker Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 I fished out of a similar boat for years with no problems. There are times I wish I had it back. The total weight limit on this boat is 440 pounds. I weigh about 240 and my boat handled my weight just fine. The only problem I ran into was that when I sat in the front of the boat, operating a bow mount trolling motor, the boat was a little tough to keep aimed in the right direction. I placed the battery in the rear of the boat and hung an old 3 hp motor on it and that solved the tracking problem. I used my boat on lakes that allowed gas engines but kept a weather eye out for boats making big wakes. Quote
-HAWK- Posted March 26, 2008 Author Posted March 26, 2008 Well being that we weigh pretty much the same. Where you able to stand up and fish out of the boat no problem? Quote
