Hi members! Hope everyone is enjoying sales season. I am having my share of shopping!

If you were to go 2 rod set up, and had...

Lews BB1 pro 7.1:1

Lews Tournament pro 6.8:1

AND

6.6 medium fast rod

7 MH fast rod

How would you match rod/reel, and with what type and test line? What lures or technique would you put each to use?

Without getting technical, was curious about personal opinions.

Going by gear ratio I'd be using the Tournament Pro on the M/Fast for cranks and such.

I'd use the BB1 on the MH/Fast for other lures like jigs.

I don't know that the small difference in gear ratio is that much of  big deal though.
I have both reels and really like them.

Other than gear ratio do you feel bb1 cast further? I hear people saying bb1 pro is better for long casting? I am wondering how much of difference larger spool and wider guide, and higher drag on bb1 makes..

If there is a difference I don't notice it.  Plus the lures I cast with each are completely different.   I tend to attribute casting distance more to the rod anyway.  At least once you're dealing with quality reels, which they both are.
