RHuff Posted November 16, 2018 Posted November 16, 2018 I know Larew has been around a while but I am planning on simplifying my soft plastic assortment in 2019 so I was thinking of giving the Punch Out Craw, Hammer Craw, and Biffle Bugs a go for next year. Anyone else use them? Got any feedback? Quote
SDoolittle Posted November 16, 2018 Posted November 16, 2018 I've only used the Biffle Bug, but I really like them. They're great Texas rigged or on a swing head. I'm sure the others work well too, but I've never tried them. Quote

Smother it in Hawg Sauce, flip/pitch into the cover and hold on, because they are going to slam it! 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted November 17, 2018 Global Moderator Posted November 17, 2018 X3 on the HooDaddy, it's a big fish bait. 2 Quote
j bab Posted November 20, 2018 Posted November 20, 2018 I did some simplifying recently too, and my only craws are now Biffle Bugs, Rage Craws, and Rodents. How many craw style baits do ya really need? 1 Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted November 20, 2018 Super User Posted November 20, 2018 Punch out and Biffle Bug are great baits. And yes, invest in some swing heads! Quote

rangerjockey Posted November 20, 2018 Posted November 20, 2018 I like the Biffle bug, Hoo daddy and the salt craw.. I remember when Mr. Larew owned the Shadrack Resort and guided on Table Rock. Some of those first plastics looked like they had rock salt in them but he invented a way to inject salt in plastics and others copied it and it ended up in court. If memory serves he passed away in the mid 80's but the old place is still there. The name got bought and moved to Tulsa but I'm glad it's still around. Quote
shootermcbob Posted November 20, 2018 Posted November 20, 2018 biffle bugs can also be used on buzzbaits...pinch of the tail. I really like the 3.5 inch on smaller buzzbaits 1/4 ounce when things are calm... I guess I should say bass really like them? Quote
aatwofour Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 The Hammer Craw is an awesome jig trailer of any kind. Bladed jig, casting jig, swim jig, etc. Biffle Bug can be used in similar ways as well, but I usually just Carolina rig them or throw them on a Biffle Hardhead/swing head. Get a couple packs of Rattln’ Crawlers and use them the exact same way. They’re very underrated Quote
