Carbonlite 2.0 or falcon bucoo?

Between the two rods which would you choose. The bucoo is 7’4” heavy, thinking Carolina rig/bottom contact. The carbonlite 2.0 would be 7’ M/H, multi purpose, but probably more bottom contact also. I have some other 2.0s and they seem to run a touch heavy and from what I’ve read the bucoos run a touch lite, so thinking they will be about the same rating in reality.

I can say I love the carbonlite. No experience with the other one though, I think right now the carbonlites are on sale for 80 which IMO is a great price for that rod.

Thanks for the reply. I love mine also and have read great things about the bucoo sr too. The price right now on the 2.0s are great.

The Bucoo SR heavy is pretty light for a heavy power rod, but I think it would do well with Texas Rigs.  

 

No experience with the carbonlites.

I used a 7'4 heavy buccoo sr for awhile for heavy shakey heads, and jigs up to 1/2 ounce. Also Carolina rigs up to 3/4 ounce. One of the most sensitive rods in the $100 range.

What would you say gives the falcon such an edge in your opinion? Never fished a bucoo so trying to learn some characteristics of it.

A few days ago they had the 7'4 heavy on ebay for 70 bucks btw. Not sure if its still up or not

Found a Trapcaster for that price.  It came in the mail yesturday.  Super pumped about it

I believe all that carbon lite 2.0 stuff is on sale right now. Saw it somewhere real recently.

I don’t know if the carbonlites are Garcia’s or not. I do know that I have a few and I love them so far. Super lite, sensitive, and strong. It wouldn’t surprise me if they were Garcia though as they are stout rods for their ratings.

I don’t know but I am almost certain BPS reels are made in the same factory as lews just by comparing them.  And I wanna say lews and abu Garcia are made in the same factory so it would make sense.  None of this is certain, just my thoughts so don’t quote me on it.

This is what has come to my mind as well I also don’t know for sure but I like abu Garcia rods so if that’s the case the carbon lites must be great rods.

I’ve been a St. Croix guy for many years through and through. And still am. Over the last couple I’ve pick up a few Garcia Rods that I’ve been very very satisfied with. I have a ML Vendetta that love. Fish light soft plastics drop shot and split shot. If someone want to go out, I give them this rod. I have a IKE ML that has a bit softer tip and is good all around for plastics and 1/4-5/16 oz. shad rap types. I give them this rod. Garcia puts out a good product. I can’t say anything about customer service because I had not used it. But BPS is easy. If something or anything you don’t like I’m sure they have you covered.

Didn't even look at it honestly.  Just stuffed it in the tube and put the tube in my garage.  What was weird about it?

Take a look when u get a chance. Compare the actual receipt to the ebay transaction. I thought it was interesting.

I am not a huge fan of the Carbonlites. I would honestly spend a little bit more for a Dobyns Fury at $120. You will not regret it.
