Super User iceintheveins Posted November 6, 2018 Super User Posted November 6, 2018 May have to end up sending this to DVT, but after I cleaned and reassembled my Curado 200e5, I noticed the spool tension doesn't work, no matter what setting it's on, and the spool jiggles back and forth as if completely loose. I took it apart a couple more times to try and find what was wrong, and even put a tension cap from my other Curado 2000e5 on, and it still didn't work. The little piece inside the cap had not fallen out either. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 How about the spacer on the other side under the spool bearing? Has to be one or the other. Give me a shout if you want. Quote

OnthePotomac Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 I feel your pain.. When I began cleaning my own reels years ago one of those little buggers would end up missing until I disciplined myself to remove them immediately and set them aside to keep track of them. It also helped to keep extras on hand just in case. Same goes for the bearing wire retaining clips. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted November 6, 2018 Author Super User Posted November 6, 2018 I ordered some more spacers from DVT 1 Quote
Preytorien Posted November 7, 2018 Posted November 7, 2018 This is where I use an old egg carton for disassembly. Though I admit I don't do it myself anymore, but it helps if/when I do it. Try it, it's a lifesaver and usually comes free when you buy a dozen eggs at the grocery. 1 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted November 7, 2018 Super User Posted November 7, 2018 An egg carton is a nice trick. I like something heavier duty: 3 Quote
