Making Your Own Spinnerbaits

I am wanting to start making my own spinnerbaits, and could use some advise. 

 

Firstly, I was looking at the Do-It molds for spinnerbaits and they have a banana design and a bullet design. Any advise on which to pick and the difference in them? (As far as action, etc.)

 

Secondly, what brand/type of hooks and wire do you guys recommend?

While I am a big advocate for building your own lures you need to try some factory baits first.  Figure out what you want and then we can help you with what you want.

You must be over 40, that's not the new paradigm.

Duct tape your smart phone to a snorkel mask and put it on and walk around flailing your arms until you knock yourself silly by walking into a wall, and then it will make sense...
