I am now a SENKO believer!

well for a long time i denied the senko. i tried it for a little bit here and there but had no confidence in it and always switch to the ika after maybe 25 minutes. i fished a Tourney last weekend and the guy i was fishing with was getting bit on senkos so i threw one on and got our biggest for the day. yesterday i went out for a bit and was skipping it into big laydowns at a lake where i usually never catch much and i got 3 nice bass.  i really love these things now!  i actually am using the waveworm tiki sticks tho not actual senkos im not paying 6 bucks a bag. ok this was actually kinda pointless now that i think about it after typing all this. lol

I hate to disagree with Roadwarrior (since gaining access to my original account is in his hands), but I never saw any better "production" between the original Senko and Tiki Sticks (for the record, I stopped using the original Senko and switched to Tiki Sticks, because they are much cheaper and I actually feel the Tiki Stick might be slightly better for me - "for me" being the key words).  I told this story before, but a buddy and I fished a weedbed with him using the original Senko and me using a Tiki Stick.  We had on close to the same color and fished for 2 hours.  The end result...He caught 10 bass and I caught 10 bass.  The only difference was that I caught all ten of my bass on 1 Tiki Stick and he used I think 5 Senkos.  Therefore, it cost me 3 cents per fish and him 30 cents per fish.  Not a big difference, but with how many of these lures you may use in a season, it could add up.  Though, the key is what you are confident in.  I like the Tiki Stick, RW likes Senkos.  Therefore, you can experiment and decide which ones you like (I personally think they all work well).

As far as I can tell your the only one that is starting anything he just suggested trying senko type baits just like you told him to give the originals a try.

You know what is funny? These discussions always sound like the old Miller Lite commercials.

The BPS Stick-O is in practical terms unsalted, yeah you 're going to read in the catalog that it 's loaded with salt, but the case is, the bait has very little salt in it, they just pack the baits in the bag and then add a lot of grain salt to the bag, the moment it touches the water all the salt goes away.

The baits are very durable and not tear easily, but the durability is because the bait is quite hard when compared to others, which also has a drawback, you need to texpose the hook or your hookset will be poor.

About 3 weeks ago I went to Zimapán and caught 23 fish with one bait ( texposed hook ), could have caught more but I hung it up on a huizache and lost it. 23 fish, 1 bait, not bad at all.

Funny, I call all "stick worms" senkos just because it's become a widely used name.  I personally have Tiki sticks but that's just because I can buy them for $2.50 a bag and I only buy a bag every once in a while.  I don't use them that often.  

I'll even try a bag of GY senkos eventually.  Whatever works for you and catches fish.  RW could catch 20 fish on a "SENKO" and then swith to a Tiki and not get a bite.  Is it because there is that big of a difference between the to in the same color??  I doubt it but then again, I've never tried it so who  knows.

No matter what brand bait you use, it's worthless if you don't have confidence in it.  You'll just take it off and tie on another go-to bait.

Try it, but don't bet any money on them producing any differently.   You will however, lose some weight if you fish the original.  How much does $6 weigh?  ;D

My experience shows consistently that $6 weighs in at a bunch more bass making it to the boat.

Be careful George, compared to a senko, a nerfball is pretty tough.
