Can anyone explain to me the difference between the 705cb glass and 705cbmf glass? Also I'm looking at a 704cb glass for jerkbaits and smaller cranks like SR5's but I've always used spinning gear for these. Does dobyns offer a spinning glass rod similar to the 704 glass?

I emailed them last week no response. From my understanding they moved HQ from California to Texas and are extremely busy getting setup.

They moved 6 months ago. If I knew the answers to your questions could answer them, but don't. (903) 919.8028 or info@dobynsrods.com shoukd get you the answers.

Although both the 705CB and the 705CBMF Glass rods are constructed with graphite in the lower section and fiberglass in the upper section, the 705CB Glass rod has a much faster tip action extending further toward the middle of the rod.  Unless I'm mistaken, Dobyns does not offer a glass spinning rod.

The 705cb is rather whippy feeling to me. I bought one for squarebills and it felt too soft for what I like. Just an FYI.

The 705CB Glass is a composite rod and although more moderate in it's action, it has good power.  The 705CBMF is moderate in it's action farther down into the blank. There is a following on the west coast for that action of rod.  It feels much more like a traditional E glass rod.

The 704 CB Glass is very moderate and flexes well into the middle of the blank. It does not have the snap to effectively work a jerkbait in my opinion. It's a great rod for finesse cranks like 1/8 ounce speed traps, Bandit 100 and the little 6th Sense Crush model.

Dobyns does not produce a glass/composite spinning rod. Call Dobyns Direct and explain what you want to accomplish and they can clarify what models would be most effective.

You can also PM via their Face Book page. They've always answered mine.
