Long story short, I lost my electronic scale to a catfish a couple of weeks ago, and the one I bought is no longer available. What are you guys using to weigh your fish? Thanks!

I have been using this guy all year with few complaints.  It's $8 and is accurate and turns on fast, the two things I am mostly looking for.  It has survived one good rainstorm in the outside pocket of my pack and all summer in the back of my car.

That’s very similar to the one my wife, uh I mean my kids, got me for Father’s Day. Mine came from Amazon I think. It works, turns on quickly, and has been rained on in my boat more times than I count.

Just saying, you don’t have to break the bank for a decent scale unless you really want to.

I've used the Rapala Touch Screen for 5+ years now and really like it. It stores the last 8 weights and give a running total. Rapala claims it is accurate within 1 oz, but when I check it with a known weight it's right on.

Understand and agree. Not looking for anything expensive, but I got mine off of Amazon and it’s no longer available. Looking at reviews there has gotten ridiculous. Half day an item is the best thing since sliced bread and the other half say it’s horrible. Just looking for what people are using day to day to keep themselves honest.

I use this one. It works well for me and for like $7 it’s hard to go wrong. I use it in conjunction with the rapala lip gripper and run the scale hook through the split ring. Has worked well for me so far.

That might just be the nature of super inexpensive electronics.  I had a different model scale that worked wonderfully, well enough that after owning it for a month I bought a second one as a spare.  When my original one died due to getting caught in a huge thunderstorm, I dug my replacement out of the bin I had stashed them only to discover that it was completely nonfunctional right out of the box.  So that case, one scale was the best thing since sliced bread, and the other was complete garbage. I bought both from the same eBay seller within a month or so of each other, so it’s kind of a crapshoot.
