5by3 Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Looking at getting another rod to pitch jigs and creature baits around grass, wood, Nd docks. Most rigs will be in the 3/8 - 5/8 oz range. Should I get the 894 jwr or the 894fpr and why? I’m worried that the fpr rod might have a lot more backbone than I’m looking for and would act more like a punch rod. Quote
Yudo1 Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 The FPR is too much rod for your needs. It's a true flipping stick. Get the 894 JWR. Quote
Matt_3479 Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 I have the glx 894c and it is exactly what your looking for! Plenty of backbone and has a great tip. Can cast a 3/8oz jig a mile and feels great. Quote
