NBA kicks off tonight and while there is a lot of hype around my Sixers, I am not bought in just yet.  They are being outplayed and outcoached by Boston...again. We have a ways to go before we are contenders.  Oh well, at least i have something else to watch during the week now.

Love me some hoops!!! Brad Stevens outcoaches about 98% of the people he coaches against so don’t feel bad about that part. I’m a bulls fan so........ well....... there’s always college hoops!

Excited for the season to start! Some very interesting story lines surroundings the season, including the OP's sixers. My story line is how does Deandre Ayton do in his first year. As a suns fan I am worried about all the hype surrounding him and am crossing my fingers this isn't gonna be a Greg Oden scenario. Of course the Lakers are a story line too: They could be a very good team, but at the same time be an average team in the west. Unfortunately, I think we are all waiting on the inevitable...and that is GS winning the title. If Boogie is 3/4 of what he has been in the past, an injury to one of GS's stars suddenly becomes less of a big deal.

Those are my quick thoughts as the season gets started.

One more thing. I am very excited to see how Jason Tatum develops this year. I think he is budding super-star, like one of the eventual top 3 players in the league.

I hope Golden State doesn't get bored with the regular season again. They can't expect to turn it on whenever they want to. But then again, it's a long season and it's 28 extra games if every playoff series goes 7 game.

I’m in Vegas (inner layer of hell) watching the suns. Ayton is playing fairly well

Yeah, Ayton had a very solid first night, as did the suns in general. I think Ariza is a good piece for the team, however they will likely miss the playoffs barring a miracle haha. Booker and Ayton is a good core to build around, I just think it will have to be done through the draft as free agents aren't lining up to play in Phoenix.

To compete in today's NBA, a team needs at a minimum, 3 All Stars and a good supporting cast.  It's hard to compete with a team, Golden State, who can always have at least 2 All Starts on the floor at any given time

Well, if it’s hard to compete with them, you better start making moves . It’s not like golden state is the first ever team with a bunch of all stars. Lebron has always been part of a “big 3” when won and Boston had one before that

time to resurrect an old thread....Sixers are handling the nets but still have a lack of experience.  boston seems to have flipped the switch so to speak.  OKC is doing their normal choke job with Westbrook the stat filler at the helm.

Looking forward to the next round for sure but we gotta put these nets away first.

The playoffs have been awesome; way better than expected.

They have been pretty solid.  The first round was boring but that is kind of normal really.  Second round has been really good.  The top 4 teams in each conference are pretty much the same really with the exception being GSW who are definitely beatable in a 7 game series.
