So I am a DIE HARD Shimano Curado E7/E5 owner, all of my bait casters are the E series.  this is the first new reel I am giving a try in many many years.  Should be in this week.

Wondering if anyone has tried them or owns them?   Looking forward to the DC series

I ask these questions before I make a purchase. I would rather be warned away from a product beforehand than "fish" for reassurance that I did the right thing after the fact.

There is so much info here, if I buy something that doesnt work out it is because I didnt do my research first.

Russ,

I am also thinking about purchasing a Curado DC. I also have several Curado "E"s and I purchased a JDM Scorpion DC last year. I have two of the Curado K's.  If the Curado DC  is very similar to the Scorpion DC and I am assuming it is. I have been very pleased with the Scorpion DC's performance. It throws light finesse worms (1/8 oz ball head jig) very well and I've used it up to 1/2 oz lipless and spinner baits.  I'm using 12-14# fluorocarbon (Sniper or Tatsu) on it for what it is worth. The Curado K's do not throw the light baits as well.  Hope that information helps with your decision.
