Super User N Florida Mike Posted October 13, 2018 Super User Posted October 13, 2018 Got out for a few hours late this afternoon. It was good to have @BassinSoldier along and we got good cooperation from the fish. He was wearing out the fish to start with ,using a war eagle spinnerbait to catch the first 5 or so decent fish. I had caught a few on a super speed craw, and speed worm. @BassinSoldier caught several more on the spinnerbait until it broke, all healthy decent fish. I began catching a few on a june bug trick worm, and switched to a 5 inch pumkin ,chartruese tail yum dinger, and caught several more, including my biggest. In the meantime, he had switched to a rage tail swimbait and had caught several more on it. His big fish came the next cast after my biggest. We caught most of the fish around the eel grass edges again. Ended up with 18 or so. Got to enjoy a GATOR orange and blue sunset too ! 8 Quote
BassinSoldier Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 Definitely a great time! The fish were all over the war eagle until my main blade came off. The first decent fish had apparently caused JUST enough of a gap to form at the top of the wire that when i landed the next one the whole swivel and blade came off!! Mike was nailin' em on plastics while I was feedin' em the blades. The rage tail rage swimmer definitely came thru when i had my spinnerbait malfunction. The bite on the eel grass edges was on fire for us both. Big thanks to Mike for sharing his home waters with me. He's a great guy and hes blessed with some great home waters for sure! Im lookin forward to the next trip buddy. Ya'll be on the look out for the next trip posting. Im sure we'll be all over em again. 2 Quote
