In recent days I've seen a some references to a Hobie bimini top option for the 2019 Outback. Looks like it involves an adapter that fits into the sail mast hole in Outbacks and possibly Pro Anglers. Can anyone point me to specifics? Very interested in this option.

Looks cool. I wonder how it reacts to wind. Shade is nice and all, but I'm not sure I'd want to loose the ability to just move my rod tip around the front of the yak when a bigger fish makes a run for the other side. Sometimes they just can't make up their minds and keep going back and forth. The front mount looks too far away to do a quick reach around while seated.

Seems like a single pole umbrella mounted behind the seat would be better, if possible. You wouldn't really need to work around it. Get one that tilts so you can angle it how you want. That bimini looks great for midday but not so much any other times, especially if the sun is in front of you at all.

If it's windy wear a big sombrero ;)
