bigjean663 Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 First off.....holy smokes there’s a lot of awesome info on this site. Name is Brandon. Been fishing most of my life (mostly bass). Got away from it when I left for the Marines and college and recently fallen back in love with it. Always up to fish with anyone. I mostly hit the banks until I get the time to fish with my father in law. 1 Quote

Hey Catt, we have another wonderful guy from southwest Louisiana. Can't wait to have him let you know how to fish Toledo Bend!!!! Welcome Brandon. Great having you with us and we look forward to your input and queries. I am an LSU grad and until this past weekend was feeling pretty good, although I knew the Fighting Tigers were not Final Four material. But it was a fun ride while it lasted. What school did you attend? Did you do any redfish fishing growing up? Fished the oil rigs in the Gulf? I fished the Biloxi marsh and out to the Chandelier Islands areas with my uncle and cousins towing two 16-foot skiffs behind my uncle's 42-foot Chris Craft. Had some fantastic times fishing for reds, specs, white trout, sheepsheads, drum, croakers and then going into the marsh to do some shrimping with an 18 and 16 foot nets and a little bass fishing. Let us know about your fishing experiences. Again, welcome to the Forum. Catt is our Toledo Bend expert so you ask him what you want, including his favorite places to fish. 2 Quote
bigjean663 Posted October 8, 2018 Author Posted October 8, 2018 @Sam from Sulphur high back in ‘01 and almost immediately left for the Marines. Never really got into saltwater fishing. Whenever I hit the Sabine with my father in law we will get into reds every now and then but I don’t really go looking for them. I’m a baseball fan and more specifically I’m a Red Sox fan. Football season may have started but it’s still baseball season to me lol. I’ll never tell anyone anything about Toledo lol. Only thing I’ve ever caught there worth bragging about was an Abu garcua ambassadeur reel on an all star rod as a kid. 1 Quote
