I am looking to upgrade from my hooked up tracker 1436, there is a 2008 bass tracker pro team 170 tx down the road from me in mint condition, always garage kept. The boat has a 25 hp on it. The guy is asking 6500. I just want to ask anyone if there is any major problems with this make and year for bass tracker. It’s difficult tourney fishin out of the 1436. We make it work but d**n she makes us work sometimes. Any info is good info. Thanks.

When I went from a 14' jon boat to a 1987 tracker TX17 I felt like I was on an aircraft carrier.  I used that boat for seven years and in truth it still fished well for me when I sold it to get my 190 TX.  I'm not aware of any unique problems with the boat you're looking at.  I don't know your power needs but I have reservations that the 25 HP motor will get you on plane or exceed 20 MPH at WOT.  In my area the price you gave is a bit high but your market is probably different.

if you want to fish tournaments on any lakes, besides a small no wake lake, 25hp is pretty small.

that price seems high, for a 10 year old boat with a 25 hp motor.

if it had a 50 or 60 horsepower the price would be more in line.

According to the BPS website, you can get a brand new 2018 Tracker Pro Team 175 TX with a Merc 4 stroke 25 that will push you an estimated 23-25 mph for 15k. That gets you a warranty, all new electronics, new batteries, new motors, new everything, plus a 10 year newer boat. More money sure, but I can tell you from experience that if anything is wrong with that other one, you'll cover the difference in shop fees in no time.
