Shane Y Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Been talking with a guy through email about some fishing stuff he has for sale. I would much rather call and handle the entire conversation in about 5 minutes but I think he prefers to email. He hasn't told me what all this is yet even though I've asked twice. Im particularly interested in identifying the rods and reels. He wants 180 bucks for the entire lot..... What's yalls thoughts? I hope this is the right spot to post this Quote
Super User Log Catcher Posted October 4, 2018 Super User Posted October 4, 2018 I can' tell much about what is there without better pictures. I would be very wary of dealing with him if he won't give you a straight answer as to what everything is. Quote
Shane Y Posted October 4, 2018 Author Posted October 4, 2018 I think he's more wary about giving his phone number out. This is a craigslist thing. He is responding to emails, but rather slowly. Quote
DINK WHISPERER Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 I see some booyah spinnerbaits and buzz bait. A spook, strike King crank and red eye shad. Possibly a Rat L Trap and maybe Rapala cranks? The chatter baits look like Z-Man to me. The bottom 3 reels look like Lew's and the middle rod looks like an Abu Garcia vengeance. That's all I got. It's quite possible he doesn't know what he has himself. Could've Inherited the stuff or won it in a bet, heck who knows. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 4, 2018 Global Moderator Posted October 4, 2018 The 3 Lew's reels and 3 rods are worth the asking price if they're in decent condition IMO. Going to guess the top two reels might be Quantum? It's all gear from Wal-Mart I'd almost bet on it. Left column top to bottom; ??? Booyah Clacker buzzbait Gary Yamamoto Popper Zara Spook Strike King Sexy Dawg Strike King Sexy Dawg Second column from the left top to bottom; Strike King 1.5 Mann's Baby -1 Rapala Scatter Rap Rapala Scatter Rap 2 jerkbaits are a Rapala X-rap and Yamamoto jerkbait lipless baits are a Strike King Redeye shad and Cotton Cordell Spot bladed jigs are all Zman original chatterbaits top 2 jigs look like Booyahs, bottom two look like Strike King, I'd guess a pro model and a Bitsy or Bitsy flip. Spinnerbaits are a Booyah, War Eagle, then 2 Mepp's inline spinners. 3 Quote

ratherbfishin1 Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Like others have said you can buy the majority of these things at Walmart. The only things I am unsure about are the top two reels and the rods but something tells me I’ve seen at least a couple of those rods at Walmart too... Quote
ohboyitsrobby Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 The 1 blue reels are Wright and McGill Brent Chapman reels that I've only ever see on combos at walmart. Quote
Super User NYWayfarer Posted October 4, 2018 Super User Posted October 4, 2018 The middle 2 reels are the Walmart exclusive Mark Rose baitcaster $55 brand new. I got mine on clearance for $35 The bottom reel is also a Lew's. I can tell by the distinctive paddle knob shape. The middle rod is an Abu Garcia Vengeance $50 brand new. 1 Quote
NorthwestBasser Posted October 5, 2018 Posted October 5, 2018 There's some Lew's reels there, hard to exactly what they are, but even Lew's low end stuff is better than garbage haha... Think about it this way, $20 per reel, a little over $25per rod... Decent deal and you get the baits for free Quote

Nah, none of those ones are even real tough ones to ID, probably quite a few guys on here who could have done the same. I mean I buy a lot of fishing gear and can ID a lot of baits, so there might be a little problem there too. 1 Quote
