The trip and the especially the fishing was well beyond anything I could have hoped for. Still hard to believe. The numbers, weights, pics and some Insane Video is all coming in a few days. A-Jay Good to hear, looking forward to it. Big question is, were you able to watch your Sox win another WS? 1 Quote

The Lodge owner & staff seemed pretty chill - that helped keep me off the ledge - mostly. A-Jay Quote

Hook2Jaw Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 Thanks, @A-Jay! I'm sadly still paying on that PA14 for another nine months and my truck for two more years, but after that this looks like a plausible mancation for me and my friends. 1 Quote

Hook2Jaw Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 I've landed a few slobs, but I'm sure I haven't landed as many in a day as one could on that lake. Still, slobs or not, I just enjoy bass fishing. That lake looks highly enjoyable. You have to bring your own gear, correct? Quote

No Sir - there are some very decent rigs available to rent - Then it's just a matter of bringing some tackle. A-Jay Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted December 13, 2018 Super User Posted December 13, 2018 If anyone is looking to go, feel free to hit me up. I'll get you in contact with the man you need to talk to. Started doing a couple special trips through the year where you could potentially earn a free trip for having the biggest 5 fish bag of the week! Perks of friends in high places Ajay is right, the place is special and will change your outlook on the potential of largemouth fishing forever. 2 Quote
Super User NHBull Posted December 27, 2018 Super User Posted December 27, 2018 My wife was reading this thread over my shoulder and said " why don't you go there instead of Cuba".......Time to start putting the ducks in a row....What is the bet time of year to go? 1 1 Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted December 27, 2018 Global Moderator Posted December 27, 2018 Sounded like an easy decision Cuba vs Lake Baccarac. I wonder if I let my wife read it she'll say "why don't you go there instead of work?" ? 1 1 3 Quote

The last two years, first part of November had a great balance of big fish, perfect weather and no bugs. There really is no "bad" time to go though. The lodge is closed from june to September for the rainy season I believe. 3 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted February 21, 2019 Author Super User Posted February 21, 2019 Just secured my flights for the next one this fall. Way early booking usually offers reasonable flight times, shorter layovers, more desirable seating and a decent $$$. Managed most all of that this time. Choosing to give up some of the local prime time brown bass period on this one. Looking to fish the full moon and hopefully tip the scales in my favor for a new PB green bass. Either way, the chit just got real. A-Jay 2 1 Quote

Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted March 22, 2019 Super User Posted March 22, 2019 I'll tell you when I'm going November 5-11 As an added bonus, attendees during this week will be "competing" for a pretty sweet prize. The largest fish of the week as well as the largest 5 fish bag for the week will both be receiving a free week the following year when we go. I can still take a couple guys this year but trip is almost full. Quote
