I have a poison tail jig mold and I want to modify it to fit bait keepers. Does anyone know how I would do this and how much it would cost?

I use a Dremel with a small cutting wheel to cut a very small channel or just widen the hook channel a touch. Just go slowly because you can take more off but you can't add it back on once it's ground off. I do it with most of my jig molds anymore.

I would modify it to hold one of the wire inserts for the Trokar wire insert. These are longer than the regular wire insert.

Ok, How to you measure how deep to cut or do you just take off small amounts till it fits?

Just eyeball it and go slow. I've done several and haven't messed one up yet.

If all you are going to do is add SS wire and bend into a keeper, you might try laying the wire into the same channel as the hook and pour a few. If you get excessive flashing, you can place the mold with hook and wire set up in the mold, into a vise and clamp it closed. the pressure from the vise will form the indentation in the channel that will allow the sides of the mold to fit better. Hope this helps.
