I bet this boater had a hard time getting the boat onto the trailer, and an even harder time getting it home without the winch snugged up. I'd like to see that one launched from a really steep ramp.

Anyway it's for sale... maybe the owner just looked at it the next day and said, forget about boating, just stay home with the brew or go to a coast guard boating class and get a new boat.

I'll wager this same person also always backs into parking spaces (EVERY parking lot has one).

Do you suppose it fits in the garage better this way?  Or did they just have one too many brewski's?

Actually more than one.

So you know, owners of full sized trucks just about ALWAYS back in because they can see both sides and the end of their truck not so if they pull straight in which has the right front bumper as a blind spot.

I imagine people who back cars in do so for the same reason. Add to that if you back in and someone pulls in next to you with a large vehicle you can see the lot as you pull away not so if you pull STR8 in, I think they're pretty good drivers. So don't be too hard on us? Maybe ?

Well said. Plus the truck sticks out of the space far less with the bed hanging over the curb. Sometimes 3, 4 or 5 feet less especially with the hitch installed. I think it's just plain courteous for other drivers.

That trailer job had to be quite the entertaining watch. I am one of those guys that nearly always backs up into every (perpendicular) parking spot since my truck is pretty big (3/4 ton diesel), and it's definitely for safety as has been said. However, I would fully agree about the people that pull through angled parking spaces and subsequently appear backed in and facing the wrong direction. That one always makes me smh and wonder what they were thinking.

I think I'd pass on that one, I can only imagine what kind of care has been taken of the boat if they don't even know what direction it's supposed to go on the trailer.

I'm a parking spot backer-inner. I can tell you that a very large number of our accident calls are from people backing out of parking spots, it's also how most on duty accidents happen, which is why we're trained to back in.

I had to blow the horn at someone backing out of a parking g spot Friday evening . It was a close one, first time in my life I have successfully used my horn for it's designated purpose

One day fishing at a local lake, I watched two groups of people on two boats who were completely smashed drove their boats right by the fishing pier. I was rather upset because they ran over everyone's lines as it was, and they had plenty of room to give us some room. Anyway, the couple guys in the little boat were so hammered the kept crashing their boat (at fairly low speeds) into the larger boat.

So let this be a lesson to not be like that guy and don't drink and boat.
