I'm looking at the Promariner brand Protournament 240 and 360 and Prosport 20 three bank chargers. Does anyone have  / use these? Comments?

I have no need for a high charge rate, so it seems like for between 1/2 and 1/3 the price the Prosport 20 is a tough act to follow. So unless I'm missing something in the specs the prosport is a must have ?  Anyway the main differences between the two models is below and for those of you with split / multiple battery systems I have a screencap for 12 / 24  and 36 volt system wiring diagrams below :

Prosport

"100% Water proof" (I called the factory they told me they are rated IP67)

20a max charge rate

"4 digitally selectable charge profiles" The PDF document has "Will illuminate red for standard Flooded (lead-acid)/AGM and green for GEL."

these are preset at the factory and are most important to me.

Protournament 240 and 360

"Waterproof" (No IP rating in the specs)

240 model 24A max charge rate

360 model 36A max charge rate

Easy to read charge status / indicator

"3 selectable charge profiles" but lead acid, sealed lead acid, gel cell and AGM are quoted in the PDF

They get mixed reviews online. Cabelas branded chargers are made by Pro Mariner. I put one in my last boat to replace a MK and didn't have issues for the 2 years I used it prior to selling the boat

I cant speak for the 20 as I have the 8 amp 2 bank. I have had it since 2010 and it has never given me a minutes issue. When i goes out I will buy another pro mariner. If I ever upgrade to a 24 volt trolling motor I will go to the 20.

My Promariner 2 bank charger quit working about a year and a half after I bought it.

With the newer style “smart” chargers, a higher initial charge amperage with prolong the life of your batteries.

Moreover, if you are using AGM batteries, you will not be able to charge them to truly 100% unless you can achieve an amperage of >25.

That being said, the differences are negligible to most people.

Go with what makes sense for your budget. If you have the cash and the allowance for a little extra weight in the boat, go with the 36A.

If you can think of anything else youd rather spend the money on, go with the other.

Either is a good choice.

I wound up buying the Promariner 3 but since it was so big, and had no status for the three batteries, i wound up returning it and getting a Noco 3 bank charger.

The Noco is smaller, and has more a more complete status of charge states in LED form.
