Global Moderator Mike L Posted September 21, 2018 Global Moderator Posted September 21, 2018 Well I just cleaned the cork on the rods and realized I don't have any U40 left. Does anyone have any suggestions about what I can use as an alternative? Thanks Mike Quote

Delaware Valley Tackle Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 U40 is a water based polymer. Stains won't penetrate cork. Just order some and apply it when it comes. 2 1 Quote

OnthePotomac Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 Wrap your cork handles with Rescue Tape and you will really like it. It is a pressure silicone tape you just stretch while wrapping. Makes for a very comfortable feel while fishing. If you don't like it just unwrap it....no sticky left. The stuff is also great to have around the house and it comes in clear, or colors. No I don't sell it, just use it. Quote
