I like to get in and rub elbows with the crazy, like seeing a wild animal in it's natural environment.

Tiss true what they say about Walmart folk, but I honestly am one of their biggest fans.

In my area, they employ the unemployable and give them a reason to get out of bed in the AM.

Many retired, disabled, and under employee  Vets have opportunities that if left to the mom and pops, would not exist.

........but let's face it, a 300 lb lady in a bikini wearing plastic cowboy boots, is kinda funny

I'm not a Walmart frequent flyer but have to say the packs of 2-inch curl tail grub lures I bought there for dirt cheap may be the most productive panfish lures I have.

Now if only I could get the same for bass...

Looking45 if you are not shocked and amazed by some of the people of Walmart, maybe you are one the people being photographed! As I get older I am less and less concerned about what I wear to Walmart (or any other place). I do draw the line at women's lingerie though!

I did a case study on Walmart for my MBA.  I don’t shop there, free entertainment or not, period.

^^^^^ Yes

I shake my head when I see my neighbors that were complaining a few years ago about Walmart putting the little local vendor out of business, now getting Amazon packages delivered non stop every day. Now they do all they can to avoid doing any shopping locally, where they may interact with other humans; which is o.k, but it would be easier to understand if they weren't such big hypocrites to begin with.

I like shopping online as well, Use Walmart.com all the time, there's no prime membership fees and if an item doesn't have free shipping, I get it delivered to the store for free. I enjoy going to Walmart; the one near our house is pretty decent and the people that work there provide excellent service.

With all the above said, I'd rather be fishing and looking at nature than looking at what's wandering around at Walmart.

you guys are the lucky ones. I've never seen a "Walmart shopper" in any of my visits to Walmart. Nothing that even comes close to comparing to what I've seen online.

you are going at the wrong times then....all the good ones come out late at night.

Wish I lived near you. At my local Walmart I can't get anybody to the sporting goods counter even if I was face down on the floor clutching my chest with HELP spelled out in full size snickers bars next to me.

I've actually seen a woman with 4 kids walking though a Walmart at 3 am. Not a pretty sight.

When I worked second shift. I would stop in wal mart from time to time after work. I don't really like going during the day as there is way to many people, but one night after work I head in to wal mart. As I am walking through the store I hear the sound of high heels. Mind you its 2am in the middle of the week. I look in the direction were the sound is coming from, and see two woman in their early 20's Both are wearing pjs, and both look like they had a rough night. Now why they were wearing heels at 2am with pj's I don't know, but I bet it wasn't because they liked them. I was thinking they were hookers, and just got done for the night.

An interesting place too is your local boat ramp on a busy weekend.  Different kind of entertainment but can be shocking and head shaking too.

Just last week I saw a couple of guys from NJ at the launch backing the boat down the ramp only to realize nobody was holding the rope. Luckily the boat came off the trailer and headed towards the dock. After they loaded up the boat they pushed it off and started up the outboard. People were yelling to them to shut it off. They hadn't bothered to look at the park rules posted on the board near the launch stating that it was a electric motor only lake. Fun, fun, fun and its only just begun.

I am always shocked with the number of parents there with their kids when it is late.  I get that there are extenuating circumstances at times but the majority of the time the kids don't even look like they are tired.  if i took my kids to a store at probably any time past 9 i am risking a tired kid meltdown lol

I hate Walmart. I hate the long lines, the shoppers, the kids, even the fishing section sucks where I live. I go in if I absolutely must but I have to take a deep breath first. I just can't stand it.

I don't mind ordering online and picking up the item, that's not too bad, but I've only done it twice I think.

Walmart. Hate.

There's bad and good ones. I live in the middle of 2 of them. The better one is a mile or two further away than the other one , and they have the best fishing section of any Ive ever been to. A friend runs the outdoor part of the store. He's a bass fisherman, so it's well stocked.

The closer one is the worst one Ive ever been to. Lots of people not speaking english that dont understand whats going on, cashiers are slow, poor area so people think they have enough money and dont, which involves long dialogues with the slow cashiers, homeless people hitting you up as soon as you come out. My wife went there once and a homeless guy tried to get in her suv. She glared at him and said You best back off, and he did. Its a ZOO. One time I never moved in the line and after awhile went and put the items back and went home.

I've done this so many times its ridiculous. You ask yourself if what you have is really worth waiting until the lady in the front of the line gets her check book out, writes the date, changes the date cause the first time it was wrong, has a chat with the cashier, tells the cashier she wants the items in the bag separated, the cashier has to call over another employee to help her with the check, both cashier and other employee call over manager to help with check, manager has to call someone who knows how to run check through machine and lady realizes that she didn't sign the check. Half way through that garbage I'm dumping everything I had in my cart onto a nearby shelf, abandoning the cart and walking out with an angry and confused look on my face.

I remember well my last trip to Walmart several years ago.  I was walking out to my car after a terribly long wait to check out with terrible service.  The tower clock at the side of the building donged 4 times.  I thought to myself,  it can't be four o'clock already.  I looked up at the clock and it showed 2:30.  I thought, this place is nuts,  and I haven't been back since.

I hate Walmart. Our Walmart must have 100 buggies strewn about the parking lot at any given time, and with our winds you stand a chance of coming back out to find a buggy against your vehicle. When you can actually find an employee they are not helpful and that's probably because they dont speak English. I almost never go through the standard checkout line we always use the self checkout.

We don't use the self checkout unless we absolutely have to. After finding what you want if you can find it they should give you a discount for using the self checkout. If they have something you really like you better stock up on it. They will probably get rid of it and have something else the next time you want it.
