These are called "The General", a new MaxScent bait that has quickly replaced the old standby in our tacklebox. Why? Because they're like the old standby, but more durable, filled with scent, and has more action. And look at the colors!

Just tried the General the first time over the last two days and my view is in line with Glenns -- they do seem more durable than the Senko and they have good wiggle action on the fall even weightless (Better than the Senko? I don't know, but noticeably better than some other stickworms).

I've been having some really good luck with mine. They catch fish when even a senko won't. My only beef has been the durability. They're tougher than senkos but in my experience, not by much. I have issues where the hook pierces the bait at the bend. A better solution has been to wacky rig them with a weedless 1/0 round bend wacky hook and suspend the hook from crossed O-rings, but for whatever reason wacky doesn't get bit like Texas rigged does here.

I have to admit, they're pound for pound a better bite than a senko and a better value since they tend to last through a few catches. I picked up a few bags after one of our forum members posted a review of the minnows. I need a few more!

They actually seem to sink even faster than a standard Senko to me (haven't done any side to side comparison to confirm, but seems to sink noticeably faster to the eye test). This is great news for those of us who can't stand waiting for a Senko to do what it doesn't best, sink and catch fish.

These are the best stick baits on the market without a doubt my fav?rite. Cast them out there sink rate is fast but not to fast that it doesn’t have a good wiggle on the way down. They are heavier so you can actually fish them on a tighter line versus semi slack and just give it a wiggle just a little wiggle and with that scent! ? bam!!!!! I love these things! :)
